In a machine shop, an unguarded lathe is stopped.
In a sawmill, an ignored warning is reported.

But inside the modern university, operators use the most dangerous machinery - producing the approved narrative.

The professors wear loose gowns beside exposed gears. Leadership leans over the spinning machinery. Earlier warnings lie discarded on the floor. There are no guards, no barriers and no emergency stop.

Yet the institution has protected what it considers truly important:

Its reputation.
Its publicity.
Its approved narrative.

An industrial inspector would close such a place immediately. The university, however, may decide that stopping it presents the greater risk-because stopping it would invite questions:

Who removed the safeguards?
Who ignored the warnings?
Who knew people were vulnerable?
Who decided the machinery must continue running?

The mystery is why everyone entrusted with duty of care for operators - kept it running?

Stop the machine.
Isolate the danger.
Report the warning.
Investigate before restarting.
