MERKEL’S UNINTENDED HARVEST

Following the AfD’s triumph and the collapse of CDU support in Saxony-Anhalt, Angela Merkel declared:

**“As a CDU member, my heart bleeds.”**

How touching.

The gardener has finally noticed what has been growing in her garden.

In 2015, Merkel opened the floodgates, flooded Germany with uncontrolled immigration and assured everyone:

**“Wir schaffen das.”****“

We can manage it.”

**When ordinary Germans questioned the policy, they were lectured.

When they warned about borders, security and integration, they were dismissed.

When they pointed to the mounting consequences, the political gardeners did not examine the soil.

**They examined the people - and declared them diseased.

**So Merkel kept watering.

She watered the garden with broken borders.

She fertilised it with ignored warnings.

She pruned away inconvenient facts.

And whenever public anger appeared, the establishment tried to smother it beneath another layer of moral superiority.

But buried concerns do not disappear.

**They grow roots.**

Eleven years later, Merkel has returned to her garden and discovered an enormous crop of blue flowers:

**AfD. AfD. AfD.**

Now she stands among them - watering can still in hand -lamenting:

**“My heart bleeds.”

**But before asking Germany to weep for the CDU, perhaps Merkel should ask how many hearts were broken by her own policies.

How many lives were shattered?

How many victims might still be alive and well today if Germany’s borders had been responsibly controlled?

And how many voters turned to the AfD because every other party refused to hear them?

The AfD did not fall from the sky.

It was not planted by mysterious extremists in the dead of night.

**It grew in Merkel’s garden.

**She opened the floodgates.

She soaked the soil.

She ignored the warnings.

And now, confronted by the harvest, the gardener blames the flowers.

**Angela Merkel may not like what grew.

****But she should recognise her own gardening.**
