ANDY THE DRIVER HAS SEEN THE ROUTE

With public trust falling and political danger ahead, Labour’s navigation system offers a remarkable solution: keep driving to the far left - and avoid braking.

The public want the direction of common sense, but Labour’s navigation system has only one instruction: keep turning left and never touch the brakes.

Andy Burnham finally has the keys to the Number 10 bus.

Unfortunately, he has now met the passengers.
Parliament returns on 1 September, and the Labour MPs are marching back from the motorway services carrying doggy bags filled with everything the country failed to digest last time:

**More tax.
More borrowing.
More spending.
Open borders.
Net zero at any cost.**
Many passengers are pointing in the same direction:
**FAR LEFT.**
Andy looks at the road ahead....
The other road on the left runs over a cliff, where Starmer’s wrecked bus can still be seen smouldering at the bottom.
Andy reads the **Labour Navigation Map**:

**TO REACH DESTINATION: KEEP DRIVING TO THE FAR LEFT. AVOID BRAKING.**
The map also contains an emergency option marked **“EARLY ELECTION?”**
Andy’s dilemma is simple:

If he listens to the country, his passengers will accuse him of turning right.
If he listens to his passengers, he will follow Starmer over the cliff.
And if he calls an early election, he may lose the bus before he has finished adjusting the mirrors.
He spent years dreaming about becoming a bus driver.

Now he discovered that Labour does not really want a driver.

**It wants someone willing to grip the wheel, smile for the cameras- and accept the blame when the passengers’ directions send the bus over the edge.**
